The main point of difference for this resurfacing system is it is only compatible with water-based sealers and primers. Whereas nearly all Dulux or On-Crete resurfacing systems use potable water to mix the compounds, the finished product relies on a solvent-based sealer thinned with varying amounts of xylene to seal the surface and enhance and produce an aesthetically pleasing appearance.
Our system is all about the environment and making a minimal impact, from the initial pressure clean with eco-friendly degreasers and cleaning chemicals to using a water-based primer during the various stages of resurfacing to the final seal coat.
The Primer and the final seal coats are water-based, and we purchase these as concentrates, minimising packaging. The colour comes pre-tinted from the factory, enabling us to only use what we need, not mixing a batch with powdered oxides making more than what we need and having wastage. The colour is also able to last 12-18 months once opened (when stored correctly).
All the products in the resurfacing system are manufactured in Australia.
Patch and repairs are easily undertaken. The colour is pre-tinted in the factory with liquid pigments to minimise any variation, meaning all buckets have next to no variation in colour. Other systems rely on the applicator to add powdered oxide colours on the job, increasing colour variation from mix to mix, making it almost impossible to complete a patch and having it blend in seamlessly.
The size of your job, the weather and prep work are big factors in how long the process will take. We allocate two days to fully complete most jobs. The surface can be walked on in between steps if the previous step has had enough time to dry. For a driveway, you will need to park your vehicle elsewhere for at least seven days. Two days for application and five days for curing.
We will only need to grind if there is an existing coating on the surface, for example, a colour seal, concrete paint or a concrete sealer that isn’t in reasonable condition. During an onsite quote, we will walk you through the process. We’ll clarify anything and answer any questions.
Yes, we can confidently repair cracks that are in the range of 1-3 mm in width before resurfacing over. The same goes for small chips in the concrete.
